APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must possess a valid U.S. Social Security Number

 

In order to be eligible for the competition, applicants must be able to be in Mississippi at the time of the competition.

 

Applicants must meet age requirements for the category in which they are applying on the day of the competition:

 

  • Student Artist (age 18 to 25)  

  • Young Professional Artist (age 26 to 40)

 

Applicants  MUST be available to perform in the Stage Stars of Tomorrow Awards Concert on Monday, October 21, 2019 and for rehearsals Saturday and Sunday, October 19, 20, 2019.

 

 

 

REPERTOIRE GUIDELINES

  • Two opera arias, two musical theatre pieces, or one of each

  • Selections of contrasting styles

  • All selections must be sung from memory in the original key and the original/traditional language

  • A one-page resume

  • A short, well written, prose biography (NOT to exceed 200 words)

PROCESS

All applicants will be assigned a specific audition time and will be notified by email.

 

Note: All singers are responsible for providing their own accompanists. However, if you need an accompanist, a list of local-area accompanists and rates will be sent to you via e-mail.
